The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys deluxe editionA new book compilation, The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys, will be published December 2023 in a deluxe, book-collectors' limited edition from Genesis Publications, consisting of 500 signed copies worldwide. The band's story is told through through the BBs' own words — from Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Dennis Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Bruce Johnston — with 400 pages lavishly illustrated with rare and iconic photographs from the Capitol Records' and the band's own personal archives, along with historical ephemera from the band. The Deluxe edition has high-end binding and slipcover and is signed by 4 of the surviving BBs. Rolling Stone reports that a “bookstore” hardcover edition of the book will be published in 2024. THE BEACH BOYS OFFICIAL COLORING BOOK and THE BEACH BOYS PRESENT: THE ABC'S OF CALIFORNIA

The Beach Boys Official Coloring Book, by David Calcano and Giggens, with intro by Howie Edelson and illustrations of the band by Lindsay Lee and Juan Riera, is set for a July 18, 2023 (UK) / September 12, 2023 (US) publication date. Calcano and Lee also have another BBs book coming out this fall, The Beach Boys Present: The ABC's of California. This hardcover children's book will be out on October 10, 2023. (7-14-23)

 
 

GOD ONLY KNOWS: The Story of Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys and the California Myth

David Leaf's 1978 book, The Beach Boys and the California Myth, will be released in a new edition. The third expanded edition, now titled God Only Knows: The Story of Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys and the California Myth, will be available in the U.K. on June 23, 2022 and in the fall for the U.S. (4-26-22)

A new book, Fifty Sides of the Beach Boys: The Songs That Tell Their Story, by Mark Dillon, details the Beach Boys’ story through the origins, production, and achievements of each of the 50 songs addressed by the text. Dillon, an entertainment journalist in Toronto, includes interviews and commentary about the BB’s music from not only members of the group, like Brian Wilson and Mike Love, but also other prominent artists who claim the band as an influence. THE BEACH BOYS: All That's Left to Know and More

Author Jon Stebbins has been signed to Backbeat Books to write the Beach Boys edition for their popular FAQ book series. The FAQ series is subtitled "All That's Left to Know and More," with an emphasis on digging deeply into the details and minutia of the evolution of the band and its recordings. The Beach Boys tome will be among the most extensive volumes in the series. The approximately 400-page book will be illustrated with rare photos and memorabilia images.

Jon Stebbins and David Marks' book, The Lost Beach Boy, is described as "an average everyday story of a 14-year-old who rode a massive wave to fame with America's favorite band." The book covers the early days of the Beach Boys, as well as Marks' intriguing journey to the present.
